These Clients moved into their beautiful, newly built, modern and open-plan house 3 years ago. They are loving it but contacted me as they found it difficult to make the right choices for their open-plan living room furniture and decoration to create the modern, light and cosy atmosphere they were after. They just could not get it right.  Having an open-plan space is great but it can also sometimes be difficult to decorate and style. In this case, having an amazing wall with bi-folding doors did not make it any easier for them.  

 

After our initial call where my clients explained their wishes and needs for this space, I got a pretty good feeling about what this livingroom would need to make it work for them. Since this was a Distant Design Service they sent me a detailed floorplan, all other required measurements and quite a few photos and videos of the space. This way I get a good idea and feel and can start working. To be sure I was on the right track I first created a Moodboard and from there I designed their new lay-out and a furniture / styling plan. Accompanied with this I created a detailed shopping list with direct links to the suggested items which made it very easy for them to implement the project themselves.
